“Outline Itinerary”
Day 1 (01 August) : Jayapura Arrival – Yahokimo
Meals : Lunch – Dinner
Arrive at Sentani airport of Jayapura, meet by tour guide and catching regular flight to Dekai/Yahokimo IL221 at ETD at 11:30Am. (baggage allowed for these flight is 10kg only per passenger, as you can leave your unnecessary baggage in Jayapura with us before leaving. (Please Note : The flights are delayed very often due bad weather, technical problem, operational of flight). Make more preparation in Dekai for the next day by charter motorized canoe. Rest of the day you may walk around Dekai villages to explore Dekai Tribe. Lunch and dinner will be provided by our cook. These flight very often delayed or canceled due to bad weather. If flight canceled you shall be transfer to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 2 (02 August) : Brazza River – Koroway Territory
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
Transfer by Jeep to Lokpon and today travel by motorized canoe through Brazza River for approx 8-10hours. From Brazza river up to Kolf River on destination to Mabul or baygon. Depe nds with rivers high condition, sometime the water river down to 1 meter (low tide), the boat have to be slower. Arrive at afternoon or at night. Dinner and overnight in the village of Mabul or upper of Mabul (Baygon).
Day 3 – 7 (03 – 07 August) : Koroway Tribe Adventures
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
We will spend these 05 days adventure is some of the most pristine lowland rain forest in the world. Along the way we will try and stay with the various tribes those inhabit the region. Start our adventure by walking through the dense jungle, swampy, and we sometime walking up the single log. Our porter will free their hand to help you in the hard or difficult trail. After 4-6 hours walking we arrive the first Koroway camp (where some Koroway tribes life). The Koroway tribes live in the jungle only with their family or relatives, as they never stay in one big compound. We can found 3 or 4 Tree houses in one camp only. Caused they are nomad peoples and they never life for such a long time in the one places, they have to moved to one and another places to get more food and animals to be hunt. Stay and overnight at tents. While the Canoe with their crews waiting us in this village while we doing adventure till we return.
Day 8 (08 August) : Return
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
The Last day of adventure we will be arrive in Mabul. We will consider where we would sleep in the jungle near patipi – on the way to Dekai or direct to Dekai for accommodation at simple hotel.
Day 9 (09 August) : Fly to Wamena
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch
By IL246 at 13:00 flight to Wamena, These flight very often delayed or canceled due to bad weather. If canceled you shall be transfer to hotel and overnight stay (baggage allowance for this flight is 10kg per person only). Arrive in Wamena by car transfer to baliem Pilamo hotel. Take a rest and free program until next day tour to the festival. Dinner will be on your account.
Day 10 (10 August) : Baliem Valley Festival
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch
Today marks the start of your enjoyment of the Baliem Valley Festival. Your guide is with you all day to ensure you understand what is going on and enjoy every minute of this unique tribal festival. Spend the day at the Festival site and participate in various activities of the Festival. The Baliem Valley Cultural Festival is a very rare chance to witness clans from different indigenous tribes displaying their culture and skills in tribal warfare, dance and music. It is a truly unforgettable experience and a real once in a life time opportunity The Baliem Valley Cultural festival will be held on Aug 11th , 12th, 13th’ but the highlight of the Festival will be 11th and 12th of August. We will travel by chartered car to the location of the Baliem Valley festival. The place where they hold the ceremony changes from year to year. The festival has many traditional activities. There are large groups of men cooking pigs and sweet potatoes in the traditional earth oven fires. There is traditional Dani and Lani tribe dancing and singing. Also there is a mock battle to show you how they used to fight in the old days. And there are newer activities, like bow and arrow competitions.
All tour and festival dates will be adjusted according to local condition. You will have a chance to see and enjoy these cultural festival for one day. Lunch in box will be provided en route, dinner will be on your account and overnight at medium accommodation.
Day 11 (11 August) : Jiwika Tour
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch
Breakfast at hotel. By drive to Aikima village to explore the Local traditional people of baliem valley. We will hike in 2-3 hours through the beautiful countryside and traditional houses of Dani people but you can not avoid a muddy & sliperry path with single log bridge. Along the way you will find the Danis working in their sweet potatoes garden and will see their daily activities. Arrive at Suroba, walk through the pine forest, enjoy the beautiful nature setting and crossing a bridge over Aike river before you arrive at the main road where the car is waiting for you. Lunch in Box is provided. Next 10 minutes to Sumpaima village to view the 250 years old Mummy, from Sumpaima walk another 10 minutes to the nearby village of Anemoigi to see other Dani people family with their traditional houses. You will see and experience the local culture and have an opportunity to interact with local villagers while you can buy their handicraft as your souvenir.
Please note : Most probably you will see just several people in the villages since they are still attending the festival event on this date. Afternoon drive back to Wamena. Dinner will be on your account and stay overnight at medium accommodation.
Day 12 (12 August) : By Flight to Jayapura
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight at schedule 08:00 leaving for Jayapura. Upon your arrival at Sentani airport of Jayapura, on the way to the Hotel you will have a sightseeing to visit the lake by boating at Sentani Lake to see the Sentani Tribe in Asei Island, lunch is served at local Restaurant nearby the Lake. Continue to Cenderawasih Museum. Afternoon proceed to check in to your accommdation (check in time 14:00pm) for overnight stay. Dinner will be on your account.
Day 13 (13 August) : Jayapura Departure
Meals : Breakfast
After breakfast at your hotel, by car transfer you to the airport in 75 minutes leaving Jayapura for Makasar, Jakarta or Denpasar.

31 October 2016 : By Flight to Baliem Valley
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch
(Please note: the flights are delayed very often due bad weather, technical problem, operational of flight). Breakfast at hotel, waiting the flight until 12:00 am. Lunch will be provided in box or prepared by cooks. Transfer to the airport for your flight leaving yahokimo for Baliem Valley. Transfer by car to the hotel. Arrive in the afternoon. Dinner will be on your account and Accommodation at best accommodation in the town.
01 November 2016 : Trekking Baliem Valley
Meals : Lunch – Dinner
Breakfast at hotel and take a rest until meeting with other group (different people). before our trek start we will drop you to local restaurant for having lunch or lunch is provided in box. After lunch by minibus directly drop us to Sogokmo or Yetni river is direction to Southern Baliem Valley. From here where the trekking begins with all the porters and cook to reach Kurima in approx. 2-3 hours up and down the little hills. Late afternoon arrive at Kilise village, dinner will be provided by cook and overnight stay at Dani Typical Guest house. (Walk approx. 3-4 hours).
02 October 2016 : Trekking
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
From here after breakfast, we hike down in 1,5 hours down to Baliem river and cross the hanging bridge. From this place we still hike another 4 hours to reach Syoksimo We hike up to the next Danis compounds lie on the top of the hill while to explore and experience the Dani daily life and culture. Lunch in box is provided. The trail is a bit steep and could be very sleepery if it is in rainy season. From the large river the trail is going up and take 1 hours to arrive in the village of Syokosimo. Our accommodation at local people houses. (Walk approx. 6-7 hours).
03 October 2016 : Trekking
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
We hike down and up to mugi river, The first 2 hours hike down through the steep sweet potato garden. From here we will encounter and crossing another width traditional suspension bridge. The trail is going up and it takes 3 hours to arrive in the village of Ugem. Or continue walking to another village in direction to Kurima. Our accommodation is at a local guest house (Walk approx. 5-6 hours).
04 October 2016 : Trekking back to Wamena
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch
Hike down through the beautiful country side and Dani villages. You will encounter and greeted by the Dani people who work in their steep sweet potato garden. The trail is steep and could be very sleepery if it is in rainy season. then continue the last trekking day back to Kurima with regular path of local people. Picnic lunch have provided, and late Afternoon arrive in Kurima and Yetni then catch the car for drive back to Wamena town in 50 minutes. Dinner will be on your account and overnight stay at Baliem pilamo hotel or similar (Walk approx. 5-6 hours).
05 October 2016 : Wamena – Jayapura – Next Destination
Meals : Breakfast
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Jayapura at 06:15 and onward flight to the next flight destination. Our staff will help you during connection of flight
